Your privacy, explained by Kislap

Hi, I’m Kislap! This page tells you what Tala knows about you, and who can see it. Tap the speaker and I’ll read it to you.

  1. What we know about you

    • The nickname your grown-up picked for you.
    • Your Kislap colour.
    • If you are 3 to 5, 6 to 8, or 9 to 12.
    • Which lessons you finished, your badges and your streak.
    • What you and Kislap say, if you are 6 or older.
  2. What we never ask

    • We never ask for your real full name, your phone number, your email, your home address, your school, your photo or your birthday.
    • If you type them to Kislap by mistake, we stop the message before the AI sees it.
  3. Who can see your chats

    • Your grown-up can read every chat you have with Kislap. That helps keep you safe.
    • Kislap is an AI. That means it is a computer program, not a person. Its answers come from an AI company called Anthropic, so your messages go to them to get an answer.
    • If you are under 6, you don't chat with Kislap. Kislap reads to you and asks you questions instead.
    • We never show your chats to other kids, and we never sell them.
  4. Feeling worried?

    • Kislap is good for lessons, but not for big feelings or worries.
    • Talk to your grown-up or another adult you trust. They can help you find someone to talk to, like 1553 in the Philippines.
  5. You can delete everything

    • You can ask your grown-up to delete everything we know about you. They can do it in the parent area, or by emailing us.
    • We also delete Kislap chats on our own after one year.
